Second Act has partnered with U.S. Install

We're now offering nationwide professional installation services to our customers. U.S. Install has over 11,000 licensed, bonded and insured employee installers across the country. What does that mean for you? In short, you can save hundreds on your TV from Second Act and, at the same time, have a local professional TV and Home Theater installation professional at the ready for a clean, stylish installation upon it’s arrival at your home.

How does it work?

Scroll toward the bottom of any TV page on our web site and check the box next to the installation method of your choice: Basic Set Up or Flat Panel Installation. When you add the TV to your cart you’ll also be adding the installation service. Upon checkout, U.S. Install is notified that you will be receiving a TV soon and they will contact you by telephone (normally in a maximum of 3 business days from the date of purchase) to schedule an installation time and/or pre-installation site survey (see service descriptions below). Once the appointment is set, you simply sit back and let the professionals install your TV, connect all of your components, conceal your wires, instruct you how to use a single remote to control everything and of course they clean everything up when they complete the job. In some installations (advanced) they hang the TV on a wall bracket, run the cabling through the walls and more.

Now you can get the most out of your HDTV purchase from Second Act by allowing U.S. Install help close the loop. No more wondering what cable goes where, trying to figure out what remote works what device (or why you need more than one remote for that matter!), or wishing you had a friend with a strong back that knew what he was doing around HDTVs. Let Second Act and U.S. Install do if all for you.

Local Area Pick Up is the lowest cost option for the shipment of a TV. We ship the TV from one of our warehouse locations to one managed by our freight partner in an area near you. When it arrives, you are contacted via telephone to alert you to its arrival. You may then pick it up during their regular business hours and bring it home. Time in transit is typically 3-5 business days. For a complete list of pick up locations, see our support tab.
FOR MINNESOTA CUSTOMERS: you may pick up at our Edina facility with no shipping or handling charges. Simply select the "local area pick up" option when checking out. We'll credit you in full for all shipping/handling charges when you arrive at our facility.
Front Door Delivery option places your new TV just outside the main entrance of your home or, if preferable, at your garage door. Front Door Delivery is performed on a “by appointment” basis to ensure a convenient time for you to accept the shipment. Front Door delivery is ideal for light-weight sets such as LCD, DLP or Plasma TVs. Time in transit is typically 3-5 business days.
White Glove service is used for the delivery of high-end consumer products. The benefit of this service is that your merchandise is brought into your home, put into the room of your choice (within one floor up or down from the entrance), uncrated, plugged-in to ensure working order, and the packaging material is removed from your home. Should your residence be located in an extremely remote location, there may be an additional charge for delivery. Also note, White Glove delivery can require a couple extra business days vs. Front Door or Local Area Pick Up.
UPS will deliver to your door in 1-5 business days depending on your proximity to Minnesota.
